Un hollandais à réussi l'impossible et ce n'est pas une blague.
Rendre un explorer étanche.
Deux exemplaires on été fabriqué et le concepteur ne veut plus en fabriquer.

Bonjour Oui cet hollandais n'est pas le seul a avoir reussi à rendre etanche l'explorer, c'est une bonne  ,d'avoir les perfs de l'explorer qui est un chouia plus profond que l'excal, en aquatique.

Je crois que c'est le mod d'un américain (peut etre d'origine Hollandaise), il est sur le forum de www.findmall.com, Charles (Upstate NY),
il avait son forum sur www.detectorgear.com, le systeme etait un kit, il le vendait pas très cher:
"Waterproof Control Box Housing - $220 The kit includes the following...
1. Black ABS center housing
2. Clear rear housing
3. Clear front button panel cover
4. 2 polycarbonate clamping rings
5. 2 Silicone o-rings
6. S-shaft clamp assembly
7. Aluminum, stainless, Nylon hardware e.g. nuts, screws, and the like.
8. 3 Sealcon cable fittings
9. Battery cable
10. 1/4 inch gold plated female headphone jack w/cable (there are several other options for connecting headphones)
11. Conductive shielding tape.
Battery Housing - $45 (estimate of my cost)I have decided to utilize the standard waterproof Excalibur alkaline battery housing instead of building the battery housings. I will be providing these at cost or you can purchase your own of course. There are many good reasons for this change. They are readily available from most dealers and they are less expensive. Plus if I get hit by a buss tomorrow you still have a source for extra battery housings. This also saves me a great deal of time on my end so I can get the kits out the door quicker.
Ikelite Waterproof Battery Cable Connector - $20 (estimate of my cost) Required for the Excalibur battery housing.
Whites 3 piece Space Saver S Shaft - $42 (estimate of my cost) or use your own S or straight shaft.
Straight Shafts - There are a number of Excalibur straights shafts on the market which might prove interesting for a waterproof Explorer. At the least some would allow you to position the battery back behind your elbow for improved balance. Just something to think about.
Excalibur lower rod - $28 plus shipping or use your own Excalibur lower rod. Why do you need an Excalibur lower rod when the Whites S shaft above includes one? Because the wings on the ML coils are .900 inch apart and only .750 inch on the Whites e.g. your coil would flop around on a Whites lower rod.
Labor if I perform the conversion for you - $150 Now that I have performed a couple of conversions I have a better understanding of the time required to assemble and test. I still feel the majority of people who can solder a wire would be able to assemble the kit themselves however so far most have opted to have me do the work." |

| non mercie vu le prix de l appareil je ne prenderais pas le risque. De plus j ai eu l occation d essayer l exploreur se et je n ai pas ete seduit . j avous avoir essayer de rendre etanche mon ancien et trais bon detecteur garrett ace 250 mais sans y parvenir dommage |

Pourquoi s'évertuer à inventer ce qui est déjà le top avec l'excalibur, ha ces hollandais y seraient pas compliqués aussi?!!
